I bought this for my girlfriend who was totally a windows babe all her life. Her previous machine was a lummox of an HP laptop. We're talking weight-lifting exercises just to carry the thing around. No more! Now she's all smiles!
What can I say here except that the MacBook Air is generally acknowledged by reviewers to be one of the best general duty laptops for most folks. You can read an excellent review on the website: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-laptop/ If, however, you are a gamer, or an industry mogul, you probably should look elsewhere, but for normal duty use, this is the fun machine to beat, at least if you are part of the Apple-sphere. Best Buy's price on this item was just too good to pass up!

I have not installed this software on any of my Macs after reading so many negative reviews on the web. It seems the problem is not with the installation of the software but with trying to remove it once you decide you don't like it or that it causes problems. Not willing to take a chance with my new toys. So I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the product.

It does what it's supposed to do. I bought it mainly as a port to copy CDs to my hard drive. The only reason for not giving it the 5th star is that it does not support Blu-ray disks. I can't figure out exactly why Apple is so reluctant to incorporate the Blu-ray format into their machines. If there is an upside, however, it's that the SuperDrive is still way less expensive than any of the 3rd party Blu-ray drives and software that would enable a Mac to play the format.

I had a 2009 iMac that was still a nice machine but getting a little slow on the draw. Also noticed that when Apple released its Yosemite OS, the obsolescence hatchet fell on the 2009 MacBooks, so could my iMac be far behind? Time to upgrade!
What can I say except, "Me lovin' dem Apples!" This is big number 8 for me. The Best Buy price can't be beat. Don't know how they sell BELOW Apple, but they do.

This truly is a work of fiction and bad fiction at that! Having been a music teacher for 35 years, I can tell you that NO ONE that I have ever known teaches like this. The model portrayed by J. K. Simmons of the "autocratic" teacher-bully died ages ago. In fact, this guy would (and should) have been arrested for the tactics he pulled. I was so disturbed by it all that I had to keep reminding myself that it was just a movie. How this piece of shlock garnered such high ratings is a mystery to me. OK, I'll grant you that the acting is very good and the sound track certainly acceptable, but the basic premise of the movie is just nuts. What this movie might serve to demonstrate is how NOT to teach anybody anything especially the ennobling art of music! In fact, If I were a young music student and saw this movie, I would be packing my bags for a different career or, at least, a different teacher / mentor.

Nice Improvement

After upgrading all of my HDMI cables to AudioQuest Cinnamon, I thought I'd experiment a bit to see if I could detect any audible or visual differences in switching to their Cinnamon Ethernet cables. In my system, the components that HAVE been upgraded return both better picture and sound quality compared to the standard RJE cables supplied by Verizon. Better sound quality is most noticeable from my Oppo Blu-ray player when streaming Pandora and Spotify even though these services only broadcast in low-level mp3 format. More pronounced, however, is the improvement in both audio and video quality of my Apple TV. The only cable left to upgrade is the 3 meter RJE that feeds my Panasonic Plasma. Unfortunately it's in the wall behind the TV so I may need to dismount the TV to replace it. As always, your mileage may vary but I would give both the AudioQuest HDMI and RJE cables a try particularly if you want to extract that last bit of quality from your existing components.

What's the difference between an In-Wall Subwoofer cable and a regular cable?
It's my understanding that in-wall cables are designed to 1) meet building code requirements and 2) to have a "slippery" jacket covering to allow installers to more easily pull wire through wall openings.

Sorry, the Sennheiser 558's are not Bluetooth capable. But a quick Google search will provide you with many brands and models that are. Good luck!
