great for car use

Love this cable for using in the car, when I don't really want extra cable laying around. This cable is normally about 12", but stretches to 4'. If your USB plug is closer to where you store your phone, this cable will keep from having excess hanging loosely. The thicker jacket around the wire also appear to be able to take some abuse without failing, unlike the genuine Apple cables.

Don't let the reviews fool you, this unit just needs to be setup properly. Water hammer arresters keep the loud noises away, and only cost 20 bucks. No vibrations with proper adjustment, and clothes always come out like new again. Highly recommended.
