Totally worth the money, so many cool features. For instance, the "path light" features will turn on a dim halo of light if it senses motion and it is dark in the room. This makes getting up for midnight snacks much less hazardous. Also, the alarms actually speak words to you to alert you to the type of emergency and in what room the emergency is located. If you set the alarm off by accident, you can even silence it from the app on your phone or by pressing the center the of the device itself. Great peace of mind for having kids and pets.

My ac is currently not working after installing my Nest only two months ago... I've read online in different forums about other people experiencing the same problem as me, almost as if this unit fries the connector which tells your ac to turn on/off. My power bill was double the usual this month as I discovered this issue. Will be troubleshooting with Nest. Recommend professional install...

I recently went out of town and realized that the thing that I missed most about home was my wi-fi. That is thanks to this system. Before installing this in my home, I NEVER got the internet that I was paying for, even with the provider's equipment. Totally worthwhile purchase. This scale is awesome if you use other Fitbit products. It automatically sinks up with my Fitbit Blaze to track my weight and other stats (body fat %). It also knows the difference between other Fitbit users in my household. The only hangup is that sometimes it can't recognize who is on the scale and calls you a "guest" instead of your Fitbit app username. This doesn't happen often, but it's enough to stop me from giving this product the full 5 stars. Still worth the money in my opinion.

I have two camera systems operation throughout my home, this and an older 720 system with 8 cameras and a dvr. These may be pricey, but they are definitely worth it in my opinion. I just went out of town and the app alerted me whenever someone was at my front door. The color and clarity work for me as well. Just recently purchased a zip stick for extra memory storage beyond the free 7 days of cloud storage offered by Arlo.
