Got these on a Best Buy Daily Deal at a very low price for this quantity of 9 volt batteries. Plan to use them for the smoke detectors in my home. Have not installed any yet so I can't comment on their longevity; but, they look well made and I don't anticipate any problems. At the Daily Deal price, they were at least half the cost of other sources for 9 volt Alkaline batteries.

Great Concept - Execution Not so Much

Bottom Line Up Front - There is nothing inherently wrong with the Ring doorbell once you get past the problems with Ring's MS Windows app and the Ring doorbell's setup instruction limitations. It is just disappointing that you must pay a yearly fee if you want to store video (and I assume audio) data from the device on Ring’s Cloud storage rather than having the option to store said data using your own media if you wish. Even without paying for storage, you can still use the Ring doorbell to answer your door remotely. You just don’t get the “nice to have” added feature of seeing when people are at your door when you are away from home without paying Ring a yearly fee.

Instructions for Installation onto your network are poor and it appears you MUST use a device that has a wireless connection to your network to install the Ring video doorbell onto your network (something not noted in installation instructions).
Ring requires you to pay a yearly fee to store data from the doorbell in their cloud storage and provides no provision for local data storage (on a hard drive connected to your home network for example).
Note that while "I would recommend this to a friend", I do so only with the above caveats. It is a shame because with a little more work on their setup procedures and more of a customer focus (instead of trying to make more money off their customers), this could have easily been a five star product.

Possibly Best of the DC Superhero Films

I thought this was much better done than the rather dark Batman vs Superman. Film has a strong story line with plenty of action and humor. Although that is almost a given these days, I thought the special effects were very well done. The Blu-ray version looks great on a large screen TV. It is also nice that this product includes a separate DVD and a code for a digital copy so you can watch the movie away from home (either off-line if your laptop has a DVD drive or via streaming) where you don't have a Blu-ray player available.

Fun Older Film

This was one of our favorite films when we first saw it. We bought the DVD version to replace the VHS version we already owned. Picture quality is (of course) much better on DVD. This is both a really cute light hearted parody of Star Trek (and associated fandom) and a well done film in its own right.. If you've never seen this or just want to see it again, I hghly recommend it.

Pleasantly Surprised

I am quite pleased with the performance of this antenna. I have tried multiple internal and external/internal TV antennas including the Antennas Direct Clearstream 4V (whose retail price is 10X the price of this one!). To date, this is among the best performing antennas I have tried In fact, the VHF reception with this antenna is the best of any I have tried (including the far more expensive Clearstream antenna).
Indoors, on the ground floor level of my house with the antenna positioned in a window (with blinds closed) behind my TV, I am able to receive multiple watchable digital stations. At times, I am able to get most of the UHF band digital TV stations available in the DC metro area including the Maryland PBS station. Also, depending on antenna position and adjustment of the VHF (rabbit ears) component of this antenna I can get either of the two VHF stations but not both simultaneously (i.e. I can get Channel 9 broadcast stations if angled and aligned properly but must realign and raise/lower the VHF element (rabbit ears) and rescan with my TV to get the Channel 7 broadcast stations (losing Channel 9 stations when I do)).
As with all Over The Air (OTA) TV Antennas, this antenna appears to be impacted by atmospheric conditions so that depending on cloud cover and time of day, my reception degrades or improves. Still, I get a selection of watchable stations at any time (just not all of them). Given that I got this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for under $10, I find it very impressive for the price.
Unfortunately, reception with this antenna is still not sufficient for me to cut the cable (yet!) which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Still, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a back up option for the rare instances when cable is out so they have something to watch. Also, at least for Cox cable customers in the DC metro area, it provides access to several local stations that are not available through Cox (at least for the lowest cost Cox TV option). These include at least two of the Channel 14 stations, at least one of the Channel 7 stations and at least one of the Channel 66 stations,

Nifty Gadget to Transfer Data from Smartphone

This works well as data transfer and extra storage device for a Smartphone. My wife has a Blackberry Priv which does not "play well" with my Windows PC for data transfer. I use a free app I downloaded from Google Play to move data stored in either the phone's internal storage or the microSD card mounted in the phone to this drive. I can then dismount this drive and connect it to my PC for data transfer. It works well, seems reasonably sturdy and you can easily attach it to a key ring so it is always available.

Yes you can. I have not found a way within the stock Android OS to transfer data between storage locations (internal storage, microSD card, or a USB drive like this one) on an Android phone (there may be one; but, I haven't found it). However, there are several free File Manager apps on Google Play that will allow you to do so. I downloaded one called File Manager + and was able to use it to transfer files from a Blackberry Priv's internal storage and a microSD card mounted in the Priv to this drive. I then dismounted this drive and used it to transfer the files to a Windows PC. This drive works well for that purpose. I found File Manager + (the free app) a little difficult to work with (user interface is not intuitive to me); but, did get it to work after playing with it for a while. Again, there are a number of free Apps (including this one) on Google Play that should let you transfer data (individual files or entire folders) from another storage location on your Samsung 6 to this device. I picked this one because it was ad free. You might want to try various ones until you find one that meets your needs to download pictures from other storage locations on your phone to this device.

Can I transfer pics from phone to my comp by using a USB cable? I plan to use the $3/mo plan that doesn't include data.
Yes. The easiest way to do that is to use the USB cable that comes with the phone's charger. Simply disconnect the power plug from the cable and connect the smaller USB connector to your phone and the larger USB connector (that connects to the USB port on the power plug) to a USB port on your computer. Your computer will "see" the phone as an external (USB) storage device. You can locate pictures or other files on the phone and transfer them to your computer. If you are using a Microsoft Windows based computer to do this, don't forget to eject the device just as you would any other USB storage device before disconnecting from the computer or you may damage the data stored on the phone.
