I don't know if they're called "smart buttons", but whatever– the Play, rewind, FF, volume buttons, etc. on the top of the keyboard are part of the reason I selected this one. It's a lightweight, ergonomic, well-built little piece of equipment. Not top-end, but a good bargain considering all the extras you get.

They get the job done- for awhile

I've owned multiple pairs of Insignia speakers over the years, and they always start out great. Then after a few months to a year, despite very little futzing with the cords over that time, the signal begins to cut out, usually from one speaker, usually due to what appears to be a fray in the cord near the plug. (It can be worked around by bending the cord, taping it into a set position, or other machinations, but this worsens over time.)
So they are a good bargain initially, but don't count on longevity. I'd' recommend, but hesitantly.

This is an okay model, but for the bottom of the line you get what you pay for. It has a fair amount of power, but won't pick up slightly larger bits, like paper scraps or chip fragments. Still, for its intended use, it's fine. A relatively good bargain.
One problem I had was that the charger when wall – mounted, did not charge the device. The connectors must not of been making Full Contact. I shame, but for now I have to charge it sitting flat on the floor.
