This film had eluded me theatrically, so I was pleased to see a Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook offered for it, and I can happily say that it lived up to most of the hype surrounding it. What any of the plot might lack, the chemistry between the leads more than makes up for, and we're left with a charming little tale that has its cake and eats it too, giving the audience both a realistic ending as well as one typically fit for a Hollywood film.

The film is a lot of fun, though if I'm being perfectly honest I'm not all that familiar with the character in the comics, so perhaps Benedict Cumberbatch plays him a bit snarkier and closer to Tony Stark than is really necessary, but it's still an enjoyable ride. Stephen Strange searches for a cure for his ruined hands and ends up in the middle of a high stakes battle for reality as we know it.
Bonus points for the cool Steelbook packaging.

The series has been through a few ups and downs over the past few years, as the leads had to find the time to actually fit the show into their increasingly busy schedules, but it's definitely worth the wait. There's a certain sense of finality to the season, as if the show may not return, but it's most definitely worth the ride. Recommended!

I gave this a blind buy due to the Steelbook packaging, and I was left realizing that the mixed reviews that this one got were very well founded and even adding a bunch of other stuff back into the film for a director's cut couldn't save it.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of fun action bits peppered throughout, and some of it is downright delightful to watch, but overall it doesn't all hang well together, regardless of how cute Harley may look or how much they want to humanize Will Smith's Deadshot character.
I would say this is for the completist only.

This was a film that I had heard numerous positive reviews about, and was something I blind-bought the first day it hit Blu-ray.
I'm pleased to say that for the most part, the praise was warranted, as this has some truly nail-biting bits peppered throughout, especially after our three thieves find themselves trapped in the house with the 'helpless' blind man, who soon proves to be much more capable than they expected.
Good stuff, well worth a look if you're a horror fan.

Another Great Purge!

I have to admit, when I realized that this was turning into a franchise, I wasn't all that excited, as the first home invasion styled entry in the series was a bit...frustrating at times? Just issues with character motivations, etc., but the two sequels have actually surpassed the original in every way, building quite a strange little world to tell a variety of stores in that I'm quite happy to check out each year.
This third installment is by far the strongest of the three and can easily function as a stand-alone story if you're not familiar with the rest of the series.

Rick And Morty season two continues from the moment season one ended, and the series builds on the previous storylines with great callbacks to characters and stories from season one.
This show is at its best when it is giving you bitter humor wrapped around some actual sweet sentimentality, and that builds over the season to a real downer of a season finale that will leave you antsy for more.
Well worth a look for Adult Swim fans and really anyone who likes sharp comedic writing.
