Solid TV at a great price

This TV looks pretty good and wile considering everything including the price I am very happy with my purchase. What I loved was the specs on the TV and most importantly HDR. The picture is clear and maybe a little dim but considering that this is being used in a bedroom to watch mainly non 4K content it doesn’t bother us. Speakers are surprising and provide good enough sound for the room that I have turned on the sound bar. One upside is that this TV is $14 a year to run which is nothing compared to the original Plasma that was replaced by it. So if your looking for a really nice higher middle of the line TV give this one a look.

When you need physical media

Funny to see how much is going to the cloud but when you need actual physical media it’s nice to not have. The best part is that instead of having to wait 2 days or more to have this delivered I was able to get it that afternoon. Needed this for work and was able to get the job done that same day.

One of the better Marvel movies

Heading into this movie I wasn’t too sure what to expect. From what I read it didn’t tie to much into the extended universe but man was this movie great! There was a lot of comedy and humor in the movie but just a good fun story. Loved Hulk and Loki but it was Thor’s progression as a character that helped me to really enjoy the movie.

Just an amazing series, season 7 was my favorite yet of all of the seasons. The CGI, acting, story and characters didn’t disappoint at all! Can’t wait for the next season and the final two episodes really had me on the edge of my chair! Really stoaked for where they go in season 8.

Great sound from a small package

Picked up a set of these for my new place and added Martin Logan Motion 2 speakers as the fronts to make this a 7.1 setup. Overall the sound is pretty on point. Using a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX301, Oppo UDP-203, hooked up to a LG 60UH7700. The sound is crystal clear and I am only lacking a little bit of mid’s and low end bass which I can understand for the overall size of the sub and speaker cones I wasn’t going for theater like sound replication. This setup was for the family room and I wanted to keep the speaker sizing down considering that I have way too many speakers and my lady is tolerant about my obsession. I would suggest that you go take a look in person and also listen to them in the Magnolia show room. Being able to add in the Martin Logan Motion 2’s and to hear how much better they made this 5.1 work really has made this choice a no brainer for me. That is what really sold me on these, you can read people’s opinion but if you don’t know them their opinion isn’t going to matter all that much. The main point here was to say that they sound great to my ear, lack a little bit of the mid-range, and while I like the size of the subwoofer I have a 10 inch Def tech sub and in the future I will be getting a second and making this into a 7.2 with dual 10” subs to help make up for some of that lost low end.

Do I need a A/V Receiver to connect the speakers ?
Yes, you would need one to connect the speakers. These are not powered speakers (outside of the sub) but it still needs to get a signal. Honestly its so much easier now with the HDMI cable's, it makes setting up a surround sound so much simpler than back in the late 90's early 2000's.

Can the Deftech Pc600 5.1 Speaker System produce surround sound for more than one device? I want surround sound for my DVD and TV. The DVD works, yet the TV only puts out stereo.
Yes, it can, I would suggest getting a surround sound receiver. The receiver’s today have HDMI inputs so it would be as simple as hooking up the speakers red and black connections. Then plugging in an HDMI cable from the DVD player to the receiver, then an HDMI cable from the cable box or TV box to that input on the receiver and then one HDMI cable from the HDMI out to the TV. Use the remote to change your inputs ideally DVD input would be your DVD and Cable/SAT TV would be your cable or direct TV provider. With this setup you will have 5.1 surround sound and what most people don’t realize is that HD TV also has HD audio (Dolby Digital) which is 5.1 surround sound. With the receiver you will also hear a difference on Dolby enabled channels and DVD’s Blu-ray’s.
