I thought this thing was pretty awful. Very grainy, touchy when it comes to light. My wife and I shot the same footage, she did hers with a waterproof case over her iPhone, and hers looks better. Returned it.

Fad - Not Good Cameras

I got the Hero Session first and the quality was pretty bad, so I upgraded to this to see if it was a 'you get what you pay for' situation.
Nope, it still looks like slightly higher qualify surveillance video footage. I wanted to do some Youtube stuff and stop motion cartoons with it... but my iPhone took better photos and video.
Get a third party knockoff for $40 if you need a compact action camera. this thing is a status symbol and a fad, but not a good buy.

Awesome, but Some Things to Know...

There are a couple of things to keep in mind with this thing.
First - It's awesome. I love it, it changes the way I shave. I don't knick myself. No cuts. No constantly buying razors. I can shave arms and legs without having to be in the shower. Awesome for PCOS facial hair issues.
Thing 1 to Know- Open it up and brush it clean after EVERY SINGLE USE, or you will kill the blades in 3-4 months. It takes less than 30 seconds to do.
Thing 2 to Know- Do NOT press it against your skin. You'll wear the blades out. They press against the foil guard, and you will dull them out if you push them against it. Just set it ON your skin and guide it across. if you press it, you will kill the foils and cutters in 6 months.
Thing 3 to Know- It may be waterproof, but it does not do a good job while it's wet. It's also extra hard and gross to clean out wet hair from the cutters and foil. Imagine a fine paste made out of shower water and fine bits of hair.
Thing 4 to Know- You CAN dry shave. It's not going to mess you up like a dry shave with a razor. It's a really close, nice shave.
I LOVE this thing. Just know its limits and keep it clean.

not charging
I have left it in the charging base for the 24 hrs as recommended, but did not change. Help
Make sure the yellow/green light comes on when it is on the base. If it's not, try repositioning the device on the cradle. You need to make sure it's seated properly.
