New Line has delivered a great DVD in Blow, the third release in its Infinifilm series. The Johnny Depp-starring film about the rise and fall of a cocaine dealer has never looked better. The picture is top-flight, presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen format. Sound is decent, offered in Dolby Digital 5.1, but in a film as dialogue-heavy as this one, one won't notice it as much. The extras are the true superstars here. The Infinifilm series invites viewers to "go beyond the movie" by offering features that shed light not only on the film's production, but also on its subject matter. Included on the disc is an interview with George Jung, the real person on whom the film is based; a commentary from Jung and director Ted Demme; "Lost Paradise," an in-depth look at the Columbian drug trade; a six-minute featurette on drug addiction; deleted scenes; and a production diary, among many others. With the Infinifilm feature, many of these features can be accessed during the film itself, taking viewers to features relevant to the scene in question. The DVD is excellent in all respects and is well worth the money. Hopefully, other studios will follow New Line's lead and include more than just EPK material on their DVDs.

Cameron Diaz leads a knockout cast in this irreverent comedy about love, lust and the laws of karma. New York attorney Carly Whitten (Diaz) is nobody's fool. So when she accidentally discovers that her too-good-to-be-true boyfriend Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is married, she's less than thrilled. Not only that, she and Mark's wife Kate (Leslie Mann), learn about yet another mistress (Kate Upton)! Before long, however, the betrayed beauties have become unlikely pals who've decided to teach their three-timing man a lesson. The more the trio learns about Mark, the worse he seems, and the more fun they have without him!

Part of the New Line Platinum Series, the 2003 family film Secondhand Lions comes to DVD from Warner Home Video. The disc contains both widescreen and full-frame transfers. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround sound. Optional subtitles are available in English and Spanish. Director Tim McCanlies provides an audio commentary track. Also included are deleted and alternate scenes with optional director commentary and the featurettes "Secondhand Lions: One Screenplay's Wild Ride in Hollywood, " "On the Set With Secondhand Lions," and "Haley Joel Osment: An Actor Comes of Age." Other special features include theatrical trailers, TV spots, visual-effects comparisons, and DVD-ROM material. Recommended for family viewing.
