Decent but not as exciting as 300

The cinematography and the special effects are just as good as the first movie but the acting is a bit stiff. Unlike 300 where you believed the reason as to why the Spartans died; this movie is a before, during, and after to all the events that transpired during the first movie and it throws too much all together. To have a subtitle as "Rise of an Empire" and have it fall short was disappointing.
