The installers were on time, polite, and seemed to know what they were doing. They were patient while we had to do some last minute prep to the area where it would be placed. They did a nice job with the dryer installation, but as I stated in my other review they failed to level the washer.

So in buying our new washer and dryer we learned that that they don't even put electrical plugs on the units. Thats just crazy, what a rip off! Had no choice in the matter in order to install.

Firstly I will say that I feel that all of these pedestals are grossly over priced. I must admit they provide great storage space and obviously puts the machine at a more comfortable level. We were going to try to build our own or hack an Ikea unit to to the job but after shopping around and finding the best price we decided to just go with it. Best Buy kindly price matched our find so it wasn't quite the blow.

Quiet, water saver

Really like the machine, it's very quiet while running , has lots of settings, and cleans quite well. At first the machine caused a loud vibrating bang of our pipes when shutting water flow off. Had to call service it was so obnoxious throughout the house (and machine is in basement). Service suggested we install like a shock absorber onto our valve. After adjusting our valve pressure we are now ok without adding the extra part.
Next complaint is the water that remains in the liquid bleach dispense after every load of clothes. I had resorted to just absorbing it out before my white loads, but included that with the service call. He went through some cycles, leveled it, but ultimately said I would have to just keep sopping it out before each load of whites. HUH??? THAT'S CRAZY. Clearly not a machine for anyone doing lots of white loads.
My final complaint is that the LG set is not compatible with IOS or iphone for use of it's scanning capability to download other pre-set cycles. That is totally surprising given the high tech company that LG is.
I can live with these issues, and ultimately I like the machine, just surprised by these glitches and the service rep tiptoeing around the fact that these are indeed glitches of the unit.

Love this dryer. It has a wide selection of pre-set settings that all seem to work just as they are suppose to. My only negative about the machine is the incompatibility with iphone for their downloadable special pre-set programs that are available through scanning capabilities. If your an android user you're all set. Not a biggie for us, but for such a high tech company as LG you'd think they would figure it out even if it is a competitive company in the phone market.

Cut the cable

Finally made the decision to dump our cable service and bought this antenna We are very pleased with the channels we are able to pull in and the clarity of them. We do occasionally experience some crackling but generally able to fix it with switching channels or even tapping the antenna. Worst part of the whole process is learning the channel numbers and associating them with the networks. :-)
