Great dryer.. quiet.. big drum but still fits in tight spaces.. Highly energy efficient.. the best feature for me is that I can wash and dry my California King bed comforter with these machines saving me 45$ every 2 weeks.. highly recommend this appliance.. if your buying both only issue with the washer is its kind of loud so I give the washer 4.5 stars..

Do you have to leave the door open when not in use to avoid mildew?
Yes, it definitely helps.. However, you only need it cracked not left wide open.. I leave mine cracked and I only have 3/16 of an inch between the door of the washer and the door of my laundry room.. it's very tight and still works for me so anyone can make it work... great combo 4.5 star.. for me the washer is kinda loud otherwise I would say 5 star.. Also they are super energy efficient which is really nice.. hope that helps..
