I have read plenty of reviews about how everyone has had problems, but if you read the instruction manual and make sure you follow the instructions you should have no problems!! The only thing I am not sure about from other reviews is if the automatic ice maker will stop when it's full!! I shut it off after it's almost full and turn it back on about halfway down!

I bought this because I have an old doorbell/ intercom system that no longer works, and didn't want to have to go through rewiring a new one!! It give a motion sensor which works great (especially when the UPS/ FedEX just drop their packages without ringing)!! Only con I have found so far is when you reset some settings you have to ring the doorbell to get it to sync again!!

My old V Tech phone plugs into a wall electrical outlet & that's it. Do I need a land line to connect to this phone also?
Yes you need a landline for this!! Only for the Base unit, the other 4 are just plug in!
