I bought these for my daughter. She has a Kate Spade obsession. They look good. certainly match her Kate Spade cell phone cover. I was happy to find that they sound decent and are made reasonably well. Often times designer look products are made cheaply to maximise the profit off the item. You are buying them for the look after all. These are decently made.

Look great and sound better

I bought these to replace my current earbuds. The space edition had a nice look and I figured that the product was known for good sound. I was happy on both counts. They really do sound quite good. I do not have a ton of experience with higher end ear buds, but these certainly sound better than the inexpensive Sony ear buds I had been using.

I bought these headphones because a friend recommended that I use noise cancelling headphones for my next flight. I bought these particular ones because of some of the features.
I like that it turns on and off when you insert the cord. I thought that was clever.
They look good.

Absolutely. You can take a digital out from any other device that would otherwise feed your tv. For example if your cable box has a digital out. The caution though is that it would only then play sounds that come through cable. If you want it to always match what is on your tv and your tv has different inputs, then you will need to take the output from your tv.
Other than tv, the soundbar can play music or other sounds from your phone or laptop or other internet connected device. I have mine play streaming music from amazon while I am working in the office.
