Buy this if you love Mario, platforming with leaderboards, and user created content. Honestly it's like a Little Big Planet for Mario, and it does a good job of that. If you aren't into all the things listed above then Mario Maker will fall flat for you pretty quickly. If this is your niche the you now have a great game.
