The Power shot SX620 is a true HD video and HiDef still camera in a small package . It has a large 1 7/8 x 2 5/8 rear display and manual pop-up flash. The Rechargeable 1250 mAh battery lasts thru more than 90 mins of Hi-def recorded video and 175 plus pictures and takes about 2 hours to recharge with the supplied charger. Spare Canon (original) batteries run about 50 dollars. The zoom lens is up close and personal to a staggering 25X zoom. I Use the San Disk Ultra Plus SDHC UHS-I memory card which is usually on sale for less than $20.00. Download your pictures and video via the included micro USB to USB cable or wirelessly to your local computer or printer.

Researchers Lillian Reynolds (Louise Fletcher) and Michael Brace (Christopher Walken) develop a technology that records a persons thoughts and sensations to videotape. The experiment spins out of control when the tech is used to record an intense death experience of chief researcher Lillian Reynolds and another of an intimate encounter of a team member. When the military hijacks the tech and then sequesters Lillian's death experience, Brace enlist the help of his wife Karen (Natalie Wood) to experience the alarming truth Lillian left behind. Natalie Woods final performance before her death in 1983. This film is unique in its presentation. The "real world" scenes were shot in 1:67:1 format while the "mind-interface" sequences were presented in 2.40:1 widescreen. The overall quality of the Blu-ray release is good but not great. The sound track is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1

She selects him as a replacement for her lover who is wanted by the police and a mobster whose money her lover stole. On the train Frank asks her to dinner and, once in Venice she invites him to her hotel room. Spotted by the Russians on arrival, they think Frank is their man, Alexander Pearce, who stole billions from them. Scotland yard,on the other hand, soon realizes Frank is not their man and just in their way. After a Venice Gold Heist, Steve (Edward Norton) double crosses his partners in crime, killing safecracker John Bridger and keeps all the gold for himself. The rest of the team vows revenge on Steve and seeks the aid of Bridgers daughter, played by Charlize Theron. One year later the team finds Steve in Los Angeles and put an elaborate plan in action to get there revenge on Steve and recover the Gold. While laundering his Gold Steve kills his buyer, a cousin of a Ukrainian mob boss. He soon pays the price when the Team delivers Steve to the mob and the team walks away with most of the Gold. The HD version is good but not great . The audio is done in Dolby Digital 5.1.

Jen, who was raised by a race called the Mystics, finds out he is the last survivor of his race called the Gelflings. He sets out on a quest to find a shard of the dark crystal. A gem that long ago provided balance to the universe. Gen believes he can restore peace to his world if he can find the shard of the once all powerful gem and repair it. The only thing that stands in his way is the evil Skeksis. Video is very good on this blu-ray release and the animatronics by Jim Henson's Creature Shop are top notch!

The Russian and American astronauts begin their investigation of Discovery and make a startling discovery which will forever change Humanity. The video in HD is good but the Blu-ray release of 2001 A Space Odyssey is better. Sound track is crisp, clear and presented in Dolby True HD5.1.

2001 A Space Odyssey - Blu-ray

This classic came to Blu-ray in 2007. The quality of the video is near perfect and the colors rich and vibrant. Filmed in 70mm widescreen with an aspect ratio of 2.2.1. The sound track is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 and is crystal clear on the blu-ray release. A must have for the avid film collector. The opening scene of the film was shot in early morning light and really shows off how beautiful this release handles color!! Can't wait to see it in 4K, which has been announced for release later this year..

Yes to both questions - There is a threaded connection on the bottom of the camera for tripod and selfie stick. The SX620 records video in True HD - 1920 x 1080 video non interlaced.

How long does it take the battery to recharge?
For the Canon "genuine" 1250 mAh battery from full discharge it takes about 3 hours. CAUTION! There are other cheaper off-brands available mostly with HALF the mAh ratings so you take considerably fewer pictures with longer and more frequent charging.

Can you take a picture over a picture
No you can not. To do this you would need a program like Adobe Photoshop to merge the two images. Laying one over the other and adjusting the transparency of the top image or remove the elements from one image and overlaying on the other.
At present I believe Adobe is still providing version CS2 for Photoshop free for MAC and PC thru the following internet address: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3689-adobe-photoshop-cs2.html
CS2 works fine on Windows 10 but unsure of its performance or compatibility on current Apple OS X. Insure you copy the "Universal" Serial number for your OS and enter it when you install the program on your MAC or PC.

How does the SX620 do inside on a bright sunny day? Is there a setting for, let's say, in a restaurant with everyone sitting in front of the window at 1 p.m. on a sunny day?
It does very well since you can select 4 different flash modes for shooting indoors and/or full auto mode which adjusts shutter speed for dimmer light conditions. Go to the Canon Knowledge Base online for details on the SX620,

Will this connect to the computer directly through WiFi? What if I’m not connected to a router? Will it still connect to my computer through direct connection?
This Camera will connect via cable or Wifi. For PC based system (not MAC) windows 10 is your best method for easy access via wireless to printers or the PC.
