If you are just dealing with the daily use of your iPod or computer or any such similar product and using it normally you have no such need for this product, no matter how much static electricity you think you have created on the surface of your iPod. This product is to protect the battery and circuit boards and CPU and internal drives in your iPod, computer, cell phone or any other delicate electrical product. If you have a sealed product and are using it normally this product will do nothing for you. It is NOT for removing static electricity from a sealed unit being used properly.
