Great game, but this isn't the best way to play it

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is perhaps the best open-world game ever made, and with so many 10/10 reviews out there, you probably don't need me to tell you why. What you should know, however, is that the Wii U version is not the best way to experience this game. In addition to a somewhat murky 720p resolution and a complete lack of actual Gamepad support (except for off-screen play) the framerate issues on Wii U are severe. Any time specific lighting or particle effects are in play, the framerate tanks. The experience is at its worst in BOTW's various forests and villages however, where the game doesn't just drop to 20 FPS (and even below), it stays there for the duration of your time in these environments.
Honestly, it looks bad and it negatively affects gameplay, leading to a lesser experience on Wii U. This version is by no means unplayable, and BOTW is still a great game on Wii U, but if you have a Switch or are planning on buying one in the near future, you will definitely have a better experience with BOTW on that console.

This controller is rock solid, with great feeling sticks, and buttons. The only issue I've ever had with it are the triggers, which are easy for your fingers to slip off of. Still a great controller, although the DualShock 4 was a major improvement.

Resident Evil 5 is primarily focused on co-op action, and no one should go in expecting a horror game. However, what you should expect is an excellent action game with outstanding combat and great overall design. Co-op is where the game truly shines, but I would also like to note that the single-player is also very enjoyable from the beginning to end. The AI cannot match having another person playing with you, but I think that's a bit of an unreasonable expectation, and for what it is and what it's meant to do, I think the AI does it's job well enough, and that playing solo can be alot of fun, just not as much so as co-op.

Dark Souls 3 is, for the most part everything you've come to expect from the Souls series, and that's part of the problem for me. This game has great level design, and great enemy and boss designs. Controls and combat are excellent. Multiplayer is still both unique and fun. However, there's very little that feels truly new here. There are now weapon arts, which are special abilities tied to each weapon. However, for the most part, I didn't find these abilities particularly useful, and they really just don't add much to the experience. Other than that, it really does just feel like more Dark Souls, for better or worse. If that's all you want from Dark Souls 3, you'll love this game. If however, like me, you've been playing these games since Demon's Souls, and were hoping that this game could be both familiar and fresh (ala last year's excellent Bloodborne), you might be a bit disappointed to find that this is easily the most derivative Souls game to date. That doesn't make it bad by any means, just less memorable and less compelling than it's incredible predecessors.
