Okay For Protection but Not Standing Up

For protection this case serves the Kindle okay as the cover latches magnetically to the Kindle screen to prevent it from opening. The overall look of the case is also nice. However, the mechanism they built to stand up the Kindle does not work well at all. They should seriously consider a redesign in this area.

An Excellent Value Tablet

My daughter had her 8" Kindle Fire HD stolen earlier this year so when we saw this one on sell over the Thanksgiving holiday it was a no brainier to purchase it since it was $100 cheaper than the Fire we purchased a year ago, granted the Fire HD has a much crispier screen but for my 9 year old daughter, she is now happy just to have a tablet again. And it can do all the things she needs it to do: read books, play games, skype, etc.

Great sound at an affordable price

This power strip worked out perfectly for my needs. This is due to two things: it has plenty of room for big transformer plugs and the power switch is on the side. The latter is important because I have it under a bookcase so it's out of sight and need to have the ability to easily turn it off.

Must Have Received a Lemon

I had a SURFboard modem for about 10 years before this purchase and that cable modem ran the entire time without ever given me a problem.
That is why I gave the SURFboard by Motorola the first look when I wanted to update to DOCSIS 3.0 in order to take advantage of the higher speeds my cable provider offered. After researching online reviews, it validated my initial inclination and I went with the SURFboard SB6141.
After 2 days of installing it, things didn't go so well. The modem would reboot every 5 minutes or so which would interrupt whatever I was doing online. I work from home so this became a big problem. The cable company initially thought it was the signal coming in but in the end it ended up being the modem that had failed.
Technically I should probably have given this item a much lower rating but I'm given Motorola the benefit of the doubt that I just received a lemon. I took it back and the sales rep at Best Buy recommended the Netgear CM400 which was actually around $15 cheaper and is apples to apples in terms of speed and bandwidth. The Netgear has been working flawlessly ever since I hooked it up. Honestly unless your a diehard Motorola fan, I would consider looking into the Netgear CM400 for you next cable modem.

I am using an older Belkin SURF N300 router with this modem. Would this cause the internet connection to keep dropping. Streaming TV and 2 tablets.
When you loose your internet connection, do your modem lights remain active indicating you are still connected to your ISP or do those go out as well? If so, you the modem is resetting. I had this happen and it ended up being due to a DOA modem.
