I upgraded my keyboard from the flat one to the Type Cover and there is no comparison. I wish I had changed it out sooner. Very responsive. On my old one I couldn't tell if I was typing without looking at the screen.

Yes. I was able to connect a Bluetooth keyboard. I haven't tried one that uses the USB port.
