I have had battery backup on both my computer and TV for several years. It's not foolproof against a direct lightning hit, but during summer storms it's a Godsend. And when we have those many power blips and spikes, they have protected equipment and data. This unit is not as heavy duty as the last, but it serves the purpose and was less expensive.
What's great about it: If the power goes out, you have time to save data and shut down normally.
What's not so great: It sometimes beeps for no reason
I would recommend this to a friend!
