The Way Back is based on the amazing true story of Siberian gulag prisoner Janusz (Jim Sturgess) and his daring escape walking over 4,000 miles of desert and snow-capped mountains to freedom in India. Day of the Falcon dramatizes the early days of the Arab oil industry as two rival sultans (Antonio Banderas and Mark Strong) come to terms with the vast river of "black gold" that runs beneath the neutral zone between their kingdoms.

"Too Little Story Scraped Over Too Much Movie"

(I borrowed that tagline from another review I read, as it is completely apt.)
The second movie slows down from the first, as I recall it, despite its action sequences. They are a poor substitute for sufficient story to warrant a 3-hour run time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the picture, but would have enjoyed it more sans some of the flash. Recommended to fans of Tolkien who are willing to bite their tongues a bit to enjoy what will more than likely be the best adaptation for at least the next 50 years. 3.5* out of 5.

The chase sequence went on way too long and took me right out of the movie. Just an OK remake of a pretty good original movie of a fine short story. (Recommendation is assuming the friend likes sci-fi.)

It's a laughable farce; it's a loving homage: it's a fromage! Delightfully cheesy. Galaxy Quest is a joyous celebration, of sci-fi TV, yes, but in the end it sings the praises of fandom: while it seems to poke fun, in the end the "rabid" fans save the day! If you are even mildly interested, give Galaxy Quest a go. Chances are that it is better than you think it could be. (4.5*)

what is the unextended legnth?
Laid out flat with no adapter attached, mine is right about 42" long.
