Non-Fantasy Miyazaki

This is a rare Hayao Miyazaki film that is not a fantasy story. Rather, it's based on the designer of WWII aircraft for Japan. It's an unconventional, and possibly controversial, topic, but the story is intriguing and, of course, the movie is visually stunning.

A Fitting Farewell

It's hard to believe that "Blackstar" was released only 2 days before Bowie died. He was experimenting with his style until the very end, as this album proves. There is a definite jazz influence, although it is not a straight jazz album as some had reported.
The album as a Parental Advisory label for the lyrics in one song. I found this funny, since I doubt the average buyer would be someone needing their parent's permission.

"Ponyo" isn't quite as good as "Spirited Away" or "My Neighbor Totoro" in my opinion, but it's still a great movie. Ponyo is one of the most adorable characters I've seen in recent years. Great for kids or adults.

The League follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care deeply about one another - so deeply that they use every opportunity to make each other's lives miserable.
