Good replacement

Had a detector that went out so got this guy as a replacement. Have a nest so they make a good pair. Would only really recommend if NEED to get a new detector. It does all it says, connects and communicates easy, app is nicely consolidated, night light could be a bit brighter though.

Needed a display to match my iMac 27" Makes a perfect pair though I had to fab a stand so they would stand at the same height. If it were adjustable or same height (and thickness!) I'd give a 5 star. But you can't beat the quality and it's literally plug and play with the thunderbolt connection.

Does these require Internet connectivity or can they be used on a closed Wifi network?
They will work on WiFi alone so long your phone or smart device you are using to control is on the same network. Internet not needed unless trying to turn on or off away from home. They will also work as a stand-alone switch without internet or WiFi but the green indicator light will blink continuously.
