It's not without faults but it's worth buying

I was super amped to get this game. I pre-ordered it and applied my dlc pre-order with ease. (it has to be done from within the game, not through the nintendo store)
the game itself is pretty easy so far. It does have some combo's that add challenge to the gameplay but they are not needed to progress in the game.
The story has multiple modes with a few "what if" scenerios added for pleasure. I've enjoyed them so far.
I have not played multi player so i'm sure that's where the difficulty was tucked away to.
It plays super well on the new 3ds and looks absolutely gorgeous. I really think that's it's saving grace.
Overall, not a super game but still one to play and add to your collection.

I bought a new 3ds for this game itself (since the wii version cost an arm and a leg) and the ability to play it remotely.
It's so much fun.
the battle system is solid, the animation is as good as a 3ds will allow, and it really reminds me of final fantasy vii.

the 3d is not distracting and in fact really helps to bring the game to a new level.
