This TV does pretty well with video games and cartoons but live action programming leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't handle blacks very well and grays arent good either especially when you have blacks fading into gray and into white. Sometimes backgrounds are blurred and appear to be static against moving things in the foreground. It's hard to explain what I mean without being able to show you. Think about the new flannel shirts and underwear commercial where the fisherman gets his arm ripped off by the fish and how the flannel that makes up his shirt is static as the person moves.
The picture quality is very poor when an SD picture is displayed but when you have a 4K signal it starts behaving like a quality TV. My wife and kids primarily used this TV. I use the quality TV downstairs.

I can say that after about 10 hours of play on the weekend I bought it I haven't touched it. To me it was absolutely boring and I'm disappointed by another DBZ fighter once again. There hasn't been a good DBZ fighting game since Budokai 3.

I saw this for the first time when I was a teenager and I enjoyed it then. Now that Im an adult, as I watch it, I realize that there is no real plot to it. Its pretty to look at and the animation is great but like I said, no real story to speak of.

Im no physicist nor am I a scientist but I do know a few things about Einsteins general theory of relativity and how gravity and time slips work. I can definitely say that there is real true to life physics and theories used in this movie, along with Hollywood nonsense as well. Ive always been fascinated with space travel and seeking out new worlds and this movie definitely satisfies my need for science and exploring the unknowns of space and our universe.
This movie entertains those who wish to explore and ponder the greatness and vast expanse of our universe.
It is almost a 3 hour movie but I was on the edge of my seat for the entire time. I would recommend this movie for those wishing to explore the unknown. If I was in the same position as Cooper, I know I would have done it too.

They're Back

The turtles are back and I love it! I grew up watching the turtles, playing with the toys, wearing the clothes and costumes so Im probably a little biased here.
The plot is pretty weak and there are plenty of things that could have been done better but it's a kids movie that is trying to be an adult movie after all.
Its a typical Michael Bay summer blockbuster but it is enjoyable.
It looks even better in 3D.

The KU6290 has a standard remote while the KU6300 has a regular remote. The 6300 has Bluetooth while the 6290 lacks it. For this senior who hasn't had a tv for the last 4 yrs, can someone explain what this means in practical use?
The standard remote uses infra red signals to control the TV and requires line of sight, meaning you must point the remote at the TV and if anything obstructs this line of sight, your remote inputs will do nothing. Bluetooth uses a radio waves that radiates from the remote itself and does not require line of sight meaning you don't have to point the remote at the TV and if the signal is strong enough you could change the channel from an adjacent room.
