This washer is very water conserving, perhaps maybe too much so. When washing black clothes, you have to use the bedding cycle in order to get all soap to rinse out. (This was recommended by Maytag when I called customer service, because this cycle actually fills the barrel with water after sensing the load size.) This washer is a replacement for my previous Maytag Bravo, which was able to fully rinse black clothes with the rapid wash setting. Other than this, the washer is very good and I would recommend it.
