I bought this to replace an OLD A/C unit that has been in my family for 30+ years. It was much larger than this one, and way nosier. I really like this one, especially the clean air option. Sure it adds extra expense, but we felt less stuffy in the mornings after using this. It's easy to maintain and lets you know when it's time to clean the filter. It also doesn't weigh a lot, which was a big issue with the old as we left it in the window year round. With this one, we already took it out after using it all summer and sealed up the house. That should help the heating bills too! The remote control is convenient for my wife to adjust it without having to walk to the other side of the bed.

The battery life was never an issue, as long as she was careful to turn the camera off, even though, she never even got close to having a problem. But in case you might, a $10 micro USB charger will save the day. I certainly couldn't have been happier with this purchase.
