Closest thing to a Plasma TV

Did a ton of research before I purchased. Coming from a Plasma tv background I'm very particular about what I'm looking for in a display. I was looking for a 75 inch that was able to produce a real world picture, not exaggerated color. This TV has some of the best black levels I've seen in a long time. The only thing that compares is OLED's infinite black. I've had it calibrated by a local well respected calibrator and the picture is stunning. 4k UHD blu-rays look phenomenal with HDR. My advice is this, if you like bright eye popping colors buy a Samsung. If you prefer your tv viewing to be like looking out your window at the real world buy the Sony. At this level both brands make great tv's, just do your homework before you buy so you'll know what to expect.

My TV periodically reboots in the middle of watching a program, why is it doing this? I purchased my 940 in July 2016.
That's the Android OS. It's probably a memory leak from one of the Apps running in the background. Annoying? Yes, but a random occasional reboot isn't anything to be overly concerned with. It's no different then an Android phone rebooting or when your computer locks up and requires a restart. Now IDF it's happening every day then you should call Sony.

Given the choice between buying the 930D and the 940D (if price and size is not a issue), which is the better tv? I am confused with hearing about edge lit vs direct full lit, darkness at the corners with white background, 940D no extended range HDR .
