There is a digital line input that is normally used from your TV digital out, but if your receiver has the same then you can connect that way.

Ethernet Connection
I want to make sure I completely understand how this system works. I am considering the soundbar and sub which is a 3.1 setup but may want to go ahead and purchase the 5.1 package. I will need to run this system over wifi as I do not have a wired connection in the room. Can I get by without a wired internet connection and get the advantage of 5.1? I am also considering the Bose 130 system. Thanks!
The simple answer is that a small part of the SONOS system is wired. That is the Bridge/Boost controller. This creates your wireless network that SONOS uses with all its speakers. The soundbar, sub woofer are all wireless. To complete a 5.1 type setup, SONOS allows you to use the above items, plus 2 Play 1 speakers. The software will connect all four items into the 5.1 play back.

I have the SONOS sound bar and sub woofer. It all work off of your app whether on a computer, iPad, or iPhone. My SONOS does respond to the volume button on my remote however other than that it does not do anything else. You never shut it off, kinda stays in sleep mode until you need it. Now I can tell you I did get it to work with the Harmony One as it has the SONOs info already in it. Just set up the remote via the app / program and you are good to go. Hope that helps.

What all in one computer would be good just for web surfing and the kids doing school?
I need to get a home computer for the kids to have for school work and surfing the web as well as watching movies and videos online. What do you suggest?
Honestly, if you are just surfing and doing simple stuff like word, excel, etc. No movie or photo editing.. Any commercial computer brand will do. HP, Dell, Asus, etc...

How many pair of wired speakers ( independent of each other) can you connect?
If I have 4 different rooms wired with ceiling speakers, will this product enable me to connect them all and play different music in each room?
Honestly no. One amp technically only handles two speakers, i.e. two connectors. Now if you don't want separate room control, it can handle more than two speakers due to the power output.... Each set of speakers needs its own amp and thus you can set up different room names and separate controllability.
