Sturdy and well made but bulky

We bought this thinking the suction cup mount that came with the Garmin unit would not work in our van. We used this product for a while but it is bulky and where we had to put it, it was difficult to reach. Then I made a little modification to the dashboard of the van and was able to use the suction cup mount that came with the Garmin unit. So we really didn't need to buy this product. If you need to use it, it will work but, try to make the mount that comes with Garmin GPS work first.

Great navigation aid

We had been using iPad mini for navigation but when it lose cell signal it becomes useless. We were going to travel remote place in MT, WY, ID, etc where there would be no cell towers to pick up so we bought the Garmin. It was always there to show us where we were and which way we need to go. Instructions to use it are vague but, it wasn't too difficult to figure out. I like that it will take voice commands and it does a reasonably good job of understanding the spoken commands. We had no idea what we needed but the Best Buy sales associate pointed us to this product and we are very pleased with it.
