This Whirlpool wash machine washes my clothes satisfactorily. The machine has a flimsy knob and the interior has been made smaller than previous models. For the price point there should be additional options for washing without having to purchase the steam model(which I did not want).

I owned a Whirlpool Duet at a previous address. It was exceptional! This model is really quite average. The interior is smaller and the sensor often leaves my clothes still wet. In addition, the electronic panel and knobs are very flimsy in comparison. I should have selected a different brand as this was too costly to be so mediocre.

Will the timer run as a kitchen timer while food is cooking?
In other words, can you use the timer as a timer at the same time food is cooking in the microwave oven?
My current one can and this is very handy when using both the stove and the microwave to complete the evening's meal (unfortunately, my magnetron is going out and I am shopping for a replacement).

Yes, it does for one timing. I never had that feature before, so I really like that about this model.
