Great HD

I was very skeptical about getting quality performance 35 miles away from my local HD station in East Tennessee mountains. In a nutshell, I love this little radio! I would love a belt clip. The only drawback is there is no AM, just CD quality HD FM and standard FM. Reception is so great that the drawbacks are minimal. Wish list would be a clip, AM, TV audio, and RDS.

I would recommend this to a friend!

How to switch radio mode from FM to HD

My portable HD radio is stuck in FM radio mode and I can't get it to tune to an HD station. How do I change the mode from FM to HD? Using the ALL SEEK or HD SEEK feature is still not landing it on HD stations, only FM.
It does it when it detects you have tuned in an HD FM station . You will see "HD -1" on the display. After you see that you can tune up to HD-2 and HD-3. If all else fails, do a reset to factory defaults after going to the menu button.

Does this also have AM reception?

Only HD FM and FM seem to be specified. Can it also receieve AM band channels?
Nope. I wish it did as I like to listen to the radio announcer while at ball games. The HD FM is really great.

can you switch between HD1, HD2 and HD3?

A radio station I want to listen to is currently on HD2, the problem is on the same station dial number there are also 2 other stations on HD1 and HD3 when I tune into this station I get the radio station that is on HD1 how do I listen to my station on HD2?
Just tune up after tuning to the primary station and after you see HD 1 displayed. It will go into HD mode when you tune to an HD station. Then you'll see HD1. Next, tune up and you'll see HD 2, and after that HD 3. You can set your preset stations to them only while in range of the primary station. Mine works great in fringe areas.

My Insignia HD Radio (NS-HD01) portable player will not turn off. What can I do?

Your "hold" button may be the problem. Slide it to the "off" position then your buttons will work.
