A Nice Steelbook for an Alright Star Wars movie

As a Star Wars fan for most of my life, I got to say I was very disappointed in this movie. I couldn't wait to see it after watching the trailers and after it was over, I just felt let down. There are some great moments in this film, including an amazing Darth Vader sequence, but they don't outweigh the mostly dull characters and lackluster script. The best way to summarize this movie is to say that this is the Suicide Squad of the Star Wars franchise. Great trailers that get you excited to see a bland film with many reshoots and footage left on the cutting room floor.
As far as the steelbook goes, it looks great and is much better than the steelbook for The Force Awakens. The only negative is that it depicts a scene not in the finished cut of the film.
3 stars for the movie and 5 stars for the steelbook.

Moonlight follows the story of Chiron and his struggles with his identity at three different periods in his life. Every actor gives a great performance, especially the three Chirons. This is a very intimate movie, brilliantly directed by Barry Jenkins, and was deserving of it's Best Picture Oscar. Moonlight is a movie that should be seen by everyone.

This movie is deserving of its Oscar nomination for Best Picture. It is a movie that will make you question your ideals of morality and if it is good to do something bad a la Breaking Bad. The entire cast, even the background characters, give excellent performances and really sell the world they live in. This is a movie you don't want to miss.

Great Acting Can't Save Disappointing Season

As a big fan of Sherlock, I have to say that this was a very disappointing season. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman continue to shine in their roles, but Moffat and Gatiss' writing was certainly not up to par with previous seasons. I feel like they tried too hard to be clever and that ended up biting them in the end. It is not all bad though as "The Lying Detective" is Sherlock at its best. I certainly hope this is not the end.

Many will love it and agree with its Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay or they will absolutely hate this film.
