It's a bit pricey, I'm sure you could find others for a cheaper price. However, I'm quite satisfied with the overall sound quality and comfort. It is bit bulky for travel so I would leave the travel case @ home.

how long can you shred before it shuts down and how long do you have to wait before using it again
As long as you have it on you can shred as long as you want. You have to shut it down manually when you are finished. It starts up again when you turn it back on there is no time lag.
