TV turns on and off on its own
We love our Hitachi 42" LCD TV we bought from Best Buy several years ago. But several weeks ago, after a power outage in our neighborhood, the TV began acting funny – the video is kind of sketchy and flickering; and worse, roughly every minute or two the TV simply turns off on its own before turning back on again.
I mention the blackout because I assume that a power surge is what caused the TV to begin malfunctioning.
Can you please give me some perspective on what likely is the problem and on how we might be able to fix this, on our own preferably?
