great compatible lens in addition to wide angle

I have two other lenses for my EOS 7D. This lens remains on my camera all the time, I find it to be the most versatile for nature shots and to capture those 'people' shots unaware. Love the 'image stabilizer' feature too.

I had an EOS 30 and decided to take the plunge to a just under PRO level. I have had to recall everything I knew about film speed, lighting and exposure to achieve the 'best' pic. It has been a challenge, but I am excited about my results with the best Canon product ever.

What's great about it: Great resolution of pics for blow-ups and good recovery for 'speed' shots,
What's not so great: It is more complicated than a point and shoot auto SLR. It requires CF card.
