I was hooked by Penny Dreadful from the first episode of season 1. The second season was a little disappointing as it was without as many surprises as the first, and the overall pace was much slower. I still enjoyed the season, but I found the plot to be less intense. I felt like Timothy Dalton's character was a shadow of the last season; he was almost unnecessary. Frankenstein's monster was a highlight of the season.

Revered filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). from the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title - the Wolf of Wall Street. Money. Power. Women. Drugs. Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant. For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough.

Gru gets a new partner and love interest that is trying to identify and capture the villain causing all the problems. The minions are part victims and part rescuers when that aid in the capture. Lots to laugh at along the way!
