A Real Charge Cable

We bought these cables after buying several other cheap brands and being unsatisfied. Some of the cables would give us an error about it not being genuine Apple and some quit charging rather quickly.
While I don't consider Insignia a top quality brand, these cables feel in the middle of the price range so I thought I'd try them. They are pretty solid cables that mimic the Apple brand well. They fit in Lifeproof cases and they are molded at the end to limit insulation ripping.
Overall, a good middle of the road cable, much better than the $4 ones we've been buying.

A Useful Tablet Keyboard For A Change
on December 22, 2014

I own keyboards for iPads and Android tablets so I know they are subjective. However, I think for a keyboard to be useful it should accomplish a few key things.
1. Easy Connection To The Tablet: The Surface keyboard has the magnetic locking mechanism so you don't have to worry about pairing. For that, I give it points because it really does just lock into place and work. Likewise, it disconnects very easily making the tablet portable again.
2. Keys: Some keyboards feel like mush and some keys have awkward layouts. I'm happy to say this keyboard does neither. It doesn't have the tactile feedback of classic PC keyboards, but it does have nice button that you can actually tell when you press. And the layout is pretty standard so I can find all the buttons easily. Of course, there's a few combinations of keys that take a few seconds to find, but overall it is designed very well.
3. Responsiveness: For me, one of the most frustrating things about a keyboard is pressing the button and it not recording properly. Typing is hampered by constantly backtracking to fill in missed characters. The same is true for delays in processing. I tend to read as I type and thinking ahead of the letters appearing on the screen slows me down as well. I'm happy to say this keyboard doesn't suffer from either of those.
4. Portability: For a tablet to be useful, it has to be portable and that includes the keyboard. This keyboard is lightweight and easy to carry which makes it great for portability. However, the same mechanism that gives it points above hampers its portability. They keyboard cannot be detached from the Surface and still work so I do not have the option of setting up the tablet in one place and moving around with the keyboard.
I don't know if it's fair to take away a star for a feature that would eliminate 2 other positives, but it's not perfect and I can't choose a 1/2 star.

Very Useful Case

I bought this leather case at the same time I bought the Surface Pro 3 and it does exactly as advertised. It fits the keyboard and the Surface at the same time, folds up to a portfolio size, and has a stylus holder.
It has a stand on the back to hold it at the typical angle, but the one flaw I see in it is that it doesn't have the other kickstand positions available. It's one viewing angle and only that one angle. Something I didn't think of at the time of purchase was that it doesn't flip wide open to use it as a tablet, but I'm assuming since the keyboard is connected while in the case that something like that is impossible.
Still, all in all a very good case. Convenient to carry, protects the Surface well, and looks professional to carry into meetings.

Good Band, Bad Clasp
on November 19, 2014

These bands are nearly identical to the bands that come with the FitBit originally so if you like that one, you'll be pleased with these. My kids' bands tore from the FitBit being taken out and put back into the band. No biggie. The only real complaint I have about the new ones are the clasps that come with them. 2 of the bands hand normal clasps, but the 3rd one came with a funky one that is angled different and makes it difficult to put on by yourself.

Bring your 17-inch laptop on the road with this Ibex backpack. The multiple front-facing compartments offer easy organization, while the dual front zippers allow for quick access to your belongings. This SwissGear Ibex backpack has a 23L capacity and provides ample room for a variety of daily essentials.

Will this fit my MSI Apache Pro 17.3 inch laptop?

I have the MSI Gaming Series 17.3" laptop and it fits it very well. The edges come up to the zippered area, but do not put stress on the zipper. And I still have room for a tablet (I have a Surface I carry) in the first compartment. It's one of the few backpacks I've found that actually give the height for this laptop.

Why can’t I get “create home” to save. It says “failed to save changes.

I couldn't get it to create a home in the IOS app and ended up doing it through the Android app. I've read there are a lot of issues since IOS 11 came out and I was using an iPhone (with 11) and an iPad (with an older IOS) and never had any luck, but the Android worked quickly.
