Excellent hookup kit for Samsung steam dryer

This kit is an excellent quality and installs easily. It has a much better stainless steel Y-adapter for the cold water faucet than the cheaper "rubber" one that came with the dryer. IMPORTANT: If you want steam in your dryer, you MUST get this kit! Samsung supplies only a rubber Y-adapter, but not the hose itself that connects to the dryer! I REALLY like that this hose has a 90-degree bend where it connects to the dryer. Excellent design.

Quite a good design and an excellent replacement for my Galaxy S5. I had originally replaced the phone with a Note 7 (which of course was recalled). I sorely miss my Note 7, but the S7 Edge is only slightly smaller and has most of the capabilities of the Note 7. I highly recommend the use of the Otterbox Defender case for this phone which has a new thinner design and allows all of the features of the phone (NFC, Wireless charging) to be used while still in the case. I look forward to the Android Nougat release being available for this phone.

At first, we thought that we were going to have to install the $50 side venting kit because of the design of our laundry room. We needed to push the dryer as close to the rear wall as possible. This kit worked extremely well and does not take up a lot of space behind the dryer.

we were a little surprised that the INTERIOR capacity was a little smaller (narrower and not as deep) compared to our 10-year old LG ones. Especially surprising since the Samsung Washer and Dryer is actually deeper than the LG washer and dryer. Still very nice and we use it. It's easier to open and close compared to the LG one.

The "add-wash" feature did not cause us to buy this washer, but it does seem to be a nice "frill". We purchased it because of it's large capacity (5 cu.ft. capacity) and that it still fits in under our overhead cabinets in the laundry room. It is also nice that it was the same width (27") and height as our previous washer which was an entire cu. ft. SMALLER (4 cu.ft.)!!! We like the operation and it is quieter than our 10-year old LG washer.

We're quite happy with our new dryer. It dries more quickly than our 10-year LG dryer. It looks nice, is quiet, and uses less energy (probably because it dries more quickly). It was easy to install. HOWEVER, it was not obvious that we needed a water hook-up kit for the steam, which we ordered after we realized that we needed it. The steam kit was very easy to install and I really liked the Y-valve and the right-angle hose where it attaches to the dryer.

How does a pedestal work?
The pedestal attaches (with screws) to the underside of the washer or dryer. It is quite stable and at least for us, does not cause any more vibration or noise. The pedestal easily opens like a drawer to store things like laundry detergent, trash bags, etc. We also LOVE how the pedestal raises the washer and dryer to a height that makes it much easier to load and unload!
