This dual pack features the smash hits The Davinci Code and its sequel Angels & Demons. Both films are adapted from author Dan Brown's controversial best-selling novels about a powerful secret that's been kept under wraps for thousands of years. Both films are directed by Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks as Professor Robert Langdon, the most respected symbologist in the United States, who uses his knowledge to piece together clues that put him on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church.

I was embarrassed for both Tom Hanks and Ron Howard. There was entirely too much exposition in this movie--and not in a good way. Not Tarantino exposition, which is delightful--but explain this awful convoluted plot exposition. Boring.

This was my 2nd fargo Blu Ray purchase--this one was remastered and under 8 bucks.
What can I add? An absolute classic, on of Coen Brothers best, and one of my all time favorites. Who makes a movie that doesn't show the heroine for at least the first 30 minutes? These guys. Bold movie making and great characters all around.

Tom Hardy has stepped into the void left by great, tough guy actors like Robert Deniro. He oozes charisma and masculinity--in almost an old school way.
Here he plays two brothers (the Kray Twins) who were gangsters in London back in the 50s and 60s. This is not the caliber of a Scorsese movie--but it's worth watching once just for Hardy's performance(s).

I enjoyed this movie--Robert Downey Jr makes it with his character. It's pretty light hearted and has a good ensemble cast, with Stiller, Downy, Jack Black, and others.
It has good laughs all the way through. But Robert Downey Jr's performance is the reason to see it.
It's the story of a troubled movie production, where the cast gets dropped in the middle of Vietnam. Things go wrong, but the cast still things they're shooting a movie. Hilarity ensues. Good bit parts by Nolte and Tom Cruise.
