Is this only for Insignia Tv's or any brand of Tv's

Works with any TV brand as long as its no bigger than 55" and meets max weight capabilities.

Can this stand be placed in a corner?

Can be place in a corner. But since it is rectangular you will have some spave between corner and tv stand.
