Saved a hassle

I was told these were "mandatory" with my purchase. Whether they were or not, I don't really care. The installers brought them, replaced my old hoses, which were rusted and corroded, and took the old ones along with the old machine. Saved me a trip to the big box home store and I didn't have to mess with them.
