Great add on for older TV

I understand that the Chromecast was designed to be used through a Google smart device. Having said that, I wish there was the option of a stand alone remote. That would surely drive up the price. Either way, I already have an Android phone and am happy with the way it works with Chromecast.
One complaint would be that sometimes my Android phone becomes un-paired somehow from the stream on my TV after a long viewing time, and I have to re-establish connection. I have to find the content, (ie a youtube video) and attempt to play it again on my phone. All the while my current stream on the TV is still running and I am not able to control it. When the connection is re-established, the phone will somehow re-synch with the stream and I don't loose my place.

I am happy with this TV. The sound quality is not a huge issue since most people will either wall mount this, or connect to a sound bar. If wall mounted, the speakers are much better because the sound can reflect off the wall. My TV is mounted on a hybrid stand in a corner of the room. I hooked it up to a sound bar and am happy with that.
The smart TV interface is usually snappy but sometimes there is a bit of lag bringing up the interface, and opening any one of the options like youtube or Netflix.
Otherwise, it's great to have those options at my fingertips.
Internet content most enjoyed: Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Youtube

Not a bad power supply. Works well but I'm used to paying much less. I went to Best Buy because they had the best deal around in a retail store near my house. I didn't want to wait for shipping from an online retailer. The fan is large wich makes it quiet. This computer is a HTPC. I'm using an old Dell case with Asus motherboard. I have 3 internal hard drives and a TV tuner card. This power supply runs them all with ease. Did I mention that I love how quiet it is?
