At the center of the LEGO Multiverse lies an ancient planet that is inhabited by the evil mastermind, Lord Vortech. As much as I enjoyed Skyfall, the grittiness of it reinforced my desire for a return to some classic Bond tropes, and this movie is a step in that direction. Never too campy, but this one allows itself (and the audience) to have more fun than the last couple films in the series. Looking forward to seeing where they take it next.

On its own, the movie works very well as part of the franchise, but I still can't say I'm happy with their decision to split the final book into two movies. What worked for Harry Potter can't be applied to every young adult series. The first two Hunger Games books translated into tight and excellent movies, and having read all three for myself, I do not see why the same couldn't have been done for Mockingjay.
