It's Sci Fi, the bonus features are more interest

It's not a bad movie, but you'll get more out of it if you watch the Bonus Feature on how the Director wanted to frame it: he also wrote the graphic novel of it and wrote the screenplay. THEN it becomes interesting to watch the movie and see what the Director is talking about. Tom Cruise is fine, but his British teammate woman is unappealing. (Why wear a sheath dress, high heels and false eyelashes when there's just the 2 of you at a space station?) If you like SciFi, I think you'll like this movie.

While the plot is something we had never seen before (kudos for inventiveness), the actors playing the two leads (man and woman) are just so unappealing that it stifles one's interest in the film. If it were re-cast with 2 likable actors, then we might have enjoyed this film. As it is now, it's just fair.

I missed Season 4, so maybe he started intro'ing with "I am the Green Arrow" then...but I noticed he isn't just "the Arrow" in Season 5. I like the characters on his team, we learn more about them: good -- but ENOUGH of the love interest with Computer Girl! Give us a break on their affair, I tire of it! I think there is enough suspense for a good Season 6 to come.

He's President and she's Vice President, that's kind of weird. But now he might be kicked out of office, she would assume Presidency, and could pardon him. That's even weirder. This is Season 5: I just don't know where this could possibly go in Season 6. They are really a vicious pair, as is his Assistant (i.e., murders). It's far out, bordering on ludicrous. It had a Great first season, but it's losing credibility. If you have been a Fan for 4 seasons, I would recommend, just so you see where it goes. But if you are New, don't start this series.

This is a fun movie to watch, very lighthearted. The kind you can watch over and over. (We did.) There is some vulgar language and the hero is a young male, so a little innuendo. There is violence, yes, watch out. But 12 yrs and up should be used to this level, if they watch movies much. The sound track is fun: pop and rock songs from the 1980's, and that's very enjoyable. We even bought the sound track CD to listen to in the car. Highly recommend this fun movie!

Control buttons work erratically, not good.

While the picture is good, the sound is weak, you just cannot turn up the volume loud enough on some DVDs. Had to watch with earphones, which means no group-watching. But the worst part is the control buttons: you push "Play" and "Screen Setup" comes on the screen; you push "Stop" and the the film fast-forwards 1/3 of the way thru the film.
Have to use the flat bottom of a pen to get the control buttons to obey, and you still get some other action happening, not the one you wanted. Irritating as heck.

A body should see this film just because it has a lot of scenes that everyone talks about: the apes seeing a man--made structure when man had not developed yet, Hal the computer getting ideas about bossing around man, etc. See it just so you'll know what people are talking about when people discuss this movie 's iconic moments.

Well, few movies are great. A man charged with murdering his family contacts a journalist to get his story told. It does involve you, did he really murder his family? The journalist sets out to learn more, and that's what the movie is all about: did he or didn't he? James Franco is rather good as the man charged. It's a pretty good way to spend 90 minutes; it's just not fast paced and gripping.
