Excellent 4K & 3D Bluray release

Once again the studios got it right. This release was a combo pack consisting of the 4k UHD, 3D Bluray and Bluray disks. I prefer the 3D version because it's more of an immersive feel to the movie, however, the 4K release the colors really pop when compared to the standard Bluray edition. Overall, if you enjoyed this movie, you will not be disappointed with the combo pack steelbook edition. Here you will get the best of ALL worlds. As I have stated in other reviews of 3D Blurays, I recommend you have a Passive 3D T.V. because the flickering glasses that come with Active 3D T.Vs really bother me.

This is the way to release movies. 4K, 3D, bluray

This is the way studios should release movies. I still love 3D and if it is a choice between buying the 4K release and the 3D release (if both are offered), I buy the 3D version every time. "Passengers," in my opinion, was a fantastic movie. The 4K version really made the colors seem more saturated and lifelike. The 3D version, really made the ship come to life. As stated in another review watching the 3D gave you a real feel of the ship and space occupied inside. "Objects that looked and felt flat in 2D reveal their true shape in 3D; the coffee machine, for example, has a raised panel that stands quite a bit out in front of the icons behind it." I always choose the 3D versions for this reason, you gain all the depth of the "being there" feel. Unfortunately, many manufactures were stuck on selling "Active" 3D equipment where you had to change batteries in your glasses and it was the glasses that would "flicker" giving some people headaches. Passive 3D for home entertainment is the way to go (it's like the "Real 3D" you see at the theaters) where the glasses can be used with ANY Passive 3D tv. Active 3D glasses have to be "synced" to that particular tv. Anyway, I digress. PASSENGERS is a great movie and I highly recommend it. If you have the capability, I would recommend the 3D first, then the 4K UHD. Both are fantastic.

Doesn't replace your Bluray players, No 3D ability

Let me begin with what is good (as my mother taught me.) This UBD M-9500 4K UHD Bluray player (2017 model) supplies a great 4K image and has all the Apps you could want (thanks Samsung) as does last years model the UBD K8500 (2016 model).
Now the BAD. I had purchased THIS player to Upgrade and REPLACE my other Bluray players. Hooked it up to my Sony 79X900B and loved the picture with my 4K disks. When I tried to play one of my 3D blurays, it did not work so I tried another that didn't work as well. Started doing research and find that this player will NOT SUPPORT 3D blurays (last years model will) This is Samsung's the top of the line 4K Bluray player and should be backwards compatible with all the other formats that came before it. ALL the other 4K UHD Bluray players on the market (Sony, Panasonic, LG, Oppo, etc) have 3D playback capability. Now that I have done MUCH MORE research, I find that this is the ONLY 4K UHD player that will not play your 3D blurays. With all the advancements in 3D imaging for movies and the great 3D Blurays and movies coming out (just bought and watched - Doctor Strange on 3D bluray) and it looks FANTASTIC. As well as Fantastic Beast's and Where to Find Them in 3D which adds a whole dimension to the movie watching experience (Also looking forward to Kong: Skull Island). There are a huge number of people who love 3D and have extensive collections of 3D disks (I have somewhere over 50 myself) and I don't understand why Samsung (formerly a leader) would be the only maker who's player doesn't support all backwards compatible formats. So, as for myself, I will probably purchase the Sony model X-800 which also happens to be $100 cheaper? Go figure???

Right from the game and into movie production, sounds familiar. This was a really good movie, enhanced by the 3D experience. Now that cameras and filming can make it so that 3D is even better, I expect to really get even more into the 3D experience. I do, however, recommend that if you want 3D on your TV, look for "Passive" 3D which is like the movies. The glasses don't need batteries, they're inexpensive (you can use the ones from the theater if you forget to turn them in) and you won't get headaches like the "Active 3D" glasses can give you.

Quickly convert from USB to SD cards

You can plug in your SD card to this USB device to download items from your computer that doesn't come with an SD card port. I download tons of music and videos from my computer with USB ports so that I can use the SD cards in my Audi A8 and no longer need tons of space for 100 CDs. I would highly recommend this fast way to transfer items with a USB port only to get your info onto an SD card for whatever your purpose might be.

Movie was so good, I bought another for my brother

I had just reviewed this movie, but after seeing it I had to purchase another on for my brother. I had seen this movie at the theater, but if you haven't seen this Ultimate Edition, you are missing out. The Ultimate Edition adds 30 minutes back into the movie that should have been the theatrical version seen in the theaters. As I have stated before, it talks to a few of the reasons characters where doing what they were doing. I don't want to give anything away, so I would just say, BUY THIS EDITION and enjoy the movie the way it was suppose to be seen. Also, buy one for a friend or relative, they will enjoy it too.

How well does the speed cycle clean?
The Quick Wash Cycle seems to do just as good a job of cleaning that the "Normal" Cycle does. I use it to clean my martial arts uniform "Dobbak or Gi" and it cleans it very well.
