"War For the Planet of the Apes" is, in my mind, one of the most innovative sci-fi films of this decade, not only for its visual effects, but also for its pure visual storytelling. This Blu-ray release, which contains the kinds of special features you would come to expect for a movie like this, does not disappoint--although I honestly would love to see in maybe a few years an expanded version with even more behind-the-scenes featurettes, because the filmmaking of this film is truly extraordinary. Check this one out as soon as you can.

Great deal for a great movie

This Blu-ray is one of the first of its kind, and it shows a little in terms of its layout and overall design. However, "The Prestige" is a great thriller, and nothing on this disc distracts from the movie itself. In fact, there are a lot of really insightful special features on this disc that make it really worthwhile. Check this out if you can.

I kept seeing "The Grand Budapest Hotel" at Best Buy for under $10, and after watching it again, I can't understand why it's so cheap--because it's one of the beautiful films of the decade. I loved "La La Land", and having it at my fingertips on Blu-ray, DVD, and digitally is awesome. The film is shot partially to emulate classic Hollywood musicals, and seeing it on a quality Blu-ray disc draws you into the movie even more. Get this one, whether it's on sale or not.

Pixar films always look great, but seeing them on Blu-ray is even more of an immersive experience, especially with "Finding Nemo". I was able to purchase this disc on sale and I don't regret it. The features are the same as that of the DVD, but the quality is pristine. Check this one out if you can.

Get this Blu-ray while it lasts. A Best Buy exclusive, this features both the original and the "redux" versions of the film, and both are classics. The only thing this Blu-ray lacks, however, is special features: in particular, the making-of documentary "Hearts of Darkness". But for the price, this is still a great deal, and even includes an UltraViolet digital download. Check it out if you can.
