This figure looks great and is adorable, as is expected for all Amiibo. The trouble is that this figure only has one game (that I'm aware of) that has unique behavior. That's pretty rough. If you're looking to complete a collection or are a big Kirby family fan (as I am) then you should get it. If you're looking for gameplay, there's probably better options.

A splash of good fun

The original Splatoon on Wii U was a fine game, but was held back by a clunky gamepad. Splatoon 2 has so many control options it's now better than ever to get into this colorful and fun third person shooter.
The main mode of Turf War has you focusing on getting as much ground covered with your ink instead of just shooting opposing players. This gives it a gentler feel than many modern shooters. I find this game to be very family friendly even if it consists of shooting almost non-stop.
There's also loads to unlock, a single player mode, a four player co-op mode...there's so much to this game it will give you something to do for a long time. Highly recommended.

I'd heard great things about Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, but had never played Luigi's Mansion on the GameCube. That was no problem as they just put you right into the action of finding the missing pieces of the Dark Moon to bring peace back to the ghosts.
First off, this game is kind of an atmospheric adventure game with some action elements and a truckload of charm. This is the game that's making me really love Luigi. He's so well animated and you can tell he's scared, but when he does well, his exclamation of "I did it!" makes me so happy. This is a great little game to just go through but also there's loads to collect and there's online modes as well.
I highly recommend this game and at the Selects price it's a great value.

Revisit an old classic in an impressive new presentation when you play Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia for Nintendo 3DS. Remastered action is larger than life, drawing you into some of your favorite gaming moments. Modern upgrades to Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia include being fully voiced and a mix of exploration and battles.

The best Fire Emblem I've played on 3DS

There's a lot to like about the previous two Fire Emblem games on the 3DS (Awakening and Fates) but the stories are pretty melodramatic and some of the characters are pretty one note. That's not the case in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The story is heartfelt and engaging, and every teammate matters. They all have their own personality which makes them more real. The game being fully voiced goes a long way to enforce that.
As for mechanics, this is typical Fire Emblem fare and it's exciting and challenging (playing on normal seems about right, with some difficulty spikes) without being a slog.
If you like Fire Emblem at all, you owe it to yourself pick this up.

If you were never able to play Mario Kart 8 on Wii U (and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't) this is the definitive version of the game and an overall better version. You get the battle mode you want and expect as well as new characters to play as. Add to this the portability of the Switch and it's better than any Mario Kart to come before it. If you own a Switch and have any love for Mario Kart you owe it to yourself to own this game.

In this latest Zelda game they do away with all of these conventions of a Zelda game and give you an open world to explore, get lost in and have a grand adventure. There's no more hand holding as you're put out in the world to defend yourself and save the land of Hyrule.
The sense of discovery and growth as you progress through the world is unlike anything I've played. I cannot recommend this game more. It is absolutly essential for any Switch or Wii U owner.

It's been a long time since I've played a game that gives me a sense of discovery and adventure as much as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild does. Getting lost in Hyrule is something I've thought about since I was a kid and this game gives you the tools and the freedom to do it. The only thing I can hold against it is that there's fairly regular framerate drops that can be distracting, but the game is still playable.
I can't recommend this game enough. Get lost in Hyrule.
