This Dell laptop was purchased for a student to use in middle school, but I can see it lasting him through high school. The i5 processor is fast, the 8 MB of RAM, although on the light side, is sufficient for school work (not gaming) and the 256 GB SSD drive makes startup and shutdown super fast. The laptop is light weight yet not flimsy and the keyboard is well spaced and not cramped. A nice function is the "Ink" function which allows you to use a stylus to take notes instead of typing.

Great Samsung Phone, but pricey

I love my Samsung Galaxy S8. The phone is speedy with tasks, looks sleek with its curved edges, has GREAT battery life (if you set it to the mid level of battery saving, it can be on stand-by for two to three days!). My two dislike about the phone are that it has a built in battery like the iPhone, so you can't change it when the battery will eventually die and the PRICE. How come a phone can cost the same as a laptop computer? Granted we do most of our online tasks on mobile devices now, but $800?? I think someone needs to rethink the pricing of phones.

Easy set up, difficult to use

The set up of the Logitech remote was pretty straight forward. Gather all the units you want to program and plug it into the online app so it will be downloaded onto the remote. You can even set up groups for what to turn on.
After the set up, it gets more difficult. For some reason, pressing the preset buttons doesn't aways turn on the desired units you programmed. You have to press a different preprogrammed button and then go back to the one you want to get things to work. sometimes you need to go back to the original remote to turn on/off a unit to get it synched again with the Logitech. Very frustrating for something that should be straight forward and simple.
Battery life on the unit is also less than desired. Constant charging or swapping out batteries is sometimes a hassle, especially when you are trying to watch a program and want to simply change the channel.

The unit was easy to setup with my home network. All my computers, tablets and phones hooked up nicely with the unit. The only criticism is that it is a little clunky to use. When you back up new files, it loads all the old files on the computer which then proceeds to let you know that the disk on the computer is full. Still trying to figure this hiccup out.

No drilling, no wires

I have a 7.2 receiver\amp system that needed hook up. The main issue was I didn't want to open the walls to run wires to the back speakers. This ingenious system let's you do it wirelessly. Hook up the speaker wires to the front transmitter from the amp and then hook up the rear receiver to the back speakers and voila la, a surround sound system in minutes. The sound is great with no lag or signal loss.

Can you expand the ssd size?
Yes and no. The laptop is sealed, which means it does not have a compartment that you can unscrew to easily get to the hard drive. You can open the back (by a little prying) and get to the hard drive and replace it. This will VOID any warranty you may still have on the computer though! There are YouTube videos that show you how. If you take it to Best Buy, they will say you can't do it and advise you buy another machine.
